Stirling & Bridge of Allan Round Table has launched the sixth round of its Grants Fund to help local community groups in Stirling, Bridge of Allan and Dunblane.
The closing date for applications is Sunday 5th March 2017.
Each individual application is treated & discussed on its own merits. As a guide, these are some of the main things we look for, but are not hard or formal rules.
Local community rather than national/international.
Local community or society development rather than individual development.
Would the people donating object to where the money is going.
Sustainable/reusable projects rather than a one off yearly payments/running costs.
Is this a repeat application each year, or can a newer application benefit more.
Good detail about what the money is for rather than going into a general pot of money.
What effort have you done to raise the money yourselves.
Grants available for community groups and charities in Stirling, Bridge of Allan and Dunblane
Every year we spend that money in the communities where we raise it and past donations have included support for local schools, toddler groups, Christmas vouchers for vulnerable groups, youth clubs, sports clubs, community councils and much more. But we know that there are many community groups out there doing good work that we never hear about. That’s why we decided to build on the success of the first four years of our Grants Fund to give those groups the chance to ask for funding to do a bit extra for their community.
Grants can be used for any purpose that makes a difference to the community in Stirling, Bridge of Allan, Dunblane and local area.
In previous years, the grant awards have been around £250 maximum per bid, but this year we are open to applications for larger awards. Please apply for what is needed whilst keeping in mind there is a limited pot of money to be distributed to as many projects as possible. The application form is your chance to demonstrate the need for your project and the benefits it will bring to the communities of Stirling, Bridge of Allan, Dunblane or local area. We also like to know what efforts your organisation goes to in raising its own funds.
The application form is available here so start thinking about what your organisation could do with a grant from the Round Table.
